"It's just that I find Gene's cowbell playing a little harsh..."

I love XM Radio. On the way to work I was channel surfing. I got to hear:

  • Hawaiian Wedding - Elvis
  • Sister Christian - Night Ranger
  • Neil Young - Harvest
  • Piano Concerto No. 21, 1st mvmt. - Mozart
  • Don't Fear the Reaper - BOC

All excellent music (except the Night Ranger, but at least it's nostalgic.

Lots of ice fishermen on the bay. Next to a small lead of open water. Spring is coming!

Respectfully submitted,

Canoelover: I too enjoy XM in both my vehicles (wife's and mine). As you may know, XM Sirrius is in serious financial trouble. Bankruptcy is around the corner, which means that Howard Stern won;t be packing in the other 50 mill per year of his contract. I too listen to it, like you, for rock and roll and fun and song. So, enjoy it while you can. Yahoo.com had an article two weeks ago about the businesses most likely to declare bankrupcty--those just teetering by a thread. Sbarro (mall pizza), Claire's (mall girlie stuff), Chrysler (crappy cars), XM (good radio), Krispy Kreme (good donuts) were all on the list. Internet everywhere is the future, of course, and we will trade-in our $13 month XM subscription for a $35 month all access internet radio and websurfing subscription. Don;t worry about having to navigate it on the dashboard; Apple has an iPod Touch on the way with instant on (no laptop Windows loading) that is the size of an Amazon Kindle/Sony Reader...perfect for on-the-go, that will revolutionalize the whole deal. Paddle on, brother!

P.S. Sister Christian rocks! It ain't no Ratt "Round and Round", but it'll do in a pinch.
